February

Reflections
In lamplight
A likeness superimposed
On distant headlights
Someone else’s face
Only a memory
Of who was.

Darkness
Said sorrowful
But in it
The snowfall is
No longer camouflaged
By sixty watts
The silent scene
Cold, bleak, mourning…

…Hopeful
This is
My true likeness
Frozen, flying, free
Interstates of ice
Sleep forgotten amidst
The night sky

    1. 🙂 There’s a smile. It’s thanks to you, Aud. Sorry I’ve made you so sad! I wasn’t really sure what mood that was when I wrote this… the mood of the snowfall I suppose.

A rough month? But it’s only half over! It comes of being rather useless and from my physical and spiritual to-do lists screaming at me for ignoring them. But I’m doing fine. 🙂 Our first performance went well! Our second was supposed to be tonight, but it’s been snowed out. Postponed to March. I must say that’s never happened before, but we’ve got a good 4 inches and more on the way…
      Hugs. 🙂 Good night.

      1. 🙂 Thanks. Seems like it hasn’t stopped snowing since. Today though, it’s melting… slowly…

*takes deep breath* Breathing, check. 🙂 Hugs to you too! March is nice. My favorite is October though. How ’bout you?

      2. Rather useless? Never! You are one of the smartest and most talented folks I’ve ever known.
